Somewhat offensive, considering the time and effort being put in by many volunteers currently working down there. Wessex 4x4 Response were on duty all last week and only managed to get relief from another Team this weekend.

On one of the Skoda forums we've "suffered" from one called "One Note" who has since been found doing the same thing on many other forums, using the same name. Utter idiot!!

Wessex 4x4 Response, who have been providing transport services on The Levels for the last week, report that levels have increased by another inch today, and that one village they were managing to get though to with fairly normal Land Rovers is now only accessible with tractors or a Unimog! They have also reported that 2 quads owned by the Fire Service and being used in the area, were stolen the other night!!

But the current innudation of the Somerset Levels isn't by sea water but by fresh water pouring off the high ground surrounding them!!

Intersting that Powys CC are currently out frantically clearing and re-digging old drainage ditches along the sides of the A470 and other main roads in this area. Many of the "old boys" are saying they haven't seen flooding like it in this area for over 50 years.

To be honest, it doesn't look the most practical or suitable boat for use on the canals.

Under Rights of Way Regulations it is a motor vehicle whether you are pushing it or not. There have been several successful prosecutions on this matter. -

Perhaps the Estate Agents are a bit confused: Running the length of the side boundary is the Leeds Liverpool canal which is sure to be of interest to canal enthusiasts as well as those who wish to utilise the private mooring.

You are correct. Lovely area, and in a nice location. Welshpool has some good shops (and the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway) and it isn't too far from Shrewsbury.
