  1. I have a candy and I am very pleased with it. However, looking at the stats on the one advertised above, it looks very good. Especially if it takes up to 6kg load. My candy does 3 kg.
  2. I don't have rain in my engine. Cruiser stern, 5 dogs, easy to get them safely onto it, I also have a nice large pram cover, so can dry dogs off before they go onto boat and its gorgeous in the sun, like a conservatory ) its what suits you best that's important
  3. we have a large cruiser stern which is meshed and gated as we have 5 dogs, what sort are you looking for and why
  4. I find your approach strange. And I find it quite offensive that you find your comments something to laugh at when all those people moored in this god forsaken marina could potentially find themselves seriously out of pocket and very hurt in having to find themselves somewhere else to moor.
  5. still a no, already hot enough with fire going and still doesn't stop condensation and I don't want tints, I want to see the greenery, the water and the sky and sun in its true colours
  6. As a moorer, if you did not pay your dues, do you think that the marina would let you stay where you were? If I could not keep up with my payments, I would not get the service so why should the marina? The marina has had the money already from the boaters so why has this not been passed on.
  7. says its for dealing with heat, glare and UV but not condensation which is what I wanted to reduce so no , I would not use this
  8. We have the TLKR T6 http://www.motorolasolutions.com/XU-EN/Business+Product+and+Services/Consumer+Two-Way+Radios/T6_Walkie_Talkie_Radio_XU-EN work really well
  9. the kit comes with a couple of sheets of film and roll of tape, measure piece plastic to fit window allowing overlap) , stick one side double sided tape to window frame, peel of backing of tape, stick film to tape ensuring all stuck neat and straight, blow hairdryer over it a few inches away and film tightens. done properly, you cannot see film. easy We have done this and it does work, we didn't do kitchen or bathroom as wanted to be able to open those when cooking or showering.
  10. when you say she spends time off the boat, do you mean doing locks etc. We have a set of walkie talkies which work very well when one of us off boat, quite a good range too. They are a Motorola pair, plug in charge with several frequencies.
  11. That one is even more expensive They are quite amazing.
  12. They are advertising it as a newly filmed series and I did see an article somewhere, which is when it first caught my eye, about them filming toward tail end of last year. So hoping its a bit more up to date than the 1980's .

    Dogs

As you can see, everyone has their own favourites but the best advice is Only thing I will add is be careful where you buy from, STEER CLEAR of any puppy farms, know where you are buying from and see parents if getting puppy. Ask yourself what YOU can offer the dog, not what it can offer you.
  14. I love the bedroom into the bow, I want that.
  15. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2566849/Rare-19th-century-Oxford-Barge-served-changing-room-university-rowers-goes-sale-luxury-home-150-000.html
  16. lol, at least you are there. I don't think I would have chosen so late a time to move but just remembering when we stepped onboard for first time it was 5.30pm, absolutely hammering down, no kettle or teas etc so understand what fun you had. You can start to enjoy now
  17. I learnt from this thread, ) thanks
  18. not doing much or going very far then? )
  19. we had the box on the wall. I don't know whether it is coincidence but I have retuned it and I seem to be getting a much better reception. Little bit of freezing but on the whole, not too bad. Just scared to move the damned thing now. It certainly puts me off having to do manual tuning ;{ especially if I have to move the box or it gets knocked. I don't mind doing the auto tuner.
  20. Is that just a recorder? or does that offer the pause and record and watch facility too? Sorry, scratch that question, looked it up after i posted. It is the same as the view21 twin recorder.
  21. I feel so much for Elaines' family. It must so difficult to not know where she is. I so hope the answer can be found soon for them and I would like to hope that it can bring Elaine home.
  22. probably not so bothered about when we on move to be honest, but for now, wintery evenings, here in one spot in marina, we thought it would be good to be able to record (and use the pause as we have 5 dogs wanting breaks, usually just when a really good programme is on), We get quite a good signal on the aerial, when just on television, good pic, good reception, lots of channels so we thought that just by plugging the twin tuner in, this would not be disrupted as the tuner still picks up from the aerial. thanks for response
