  2. I have 4 Trojan T105s giving 220amps,Victron Multi 1600/70/16 the charger giving 50amps and a Travel Pack at 3.5kva.The question is the batts need 14.8v but the Multiplus is set by the dip switches to 14.5,14.7 or 15v.,should I go for the 14.7 or 15v setting? If I choose the 15v setting will this damage the batts or would they be better for it?Cheers.
  3. The monocrystalline type panels just need daylight and direct sun is not necessary,or so they tell us.
  4. If you do find an abandoned boat please make sure you have enough dosh to finish the abandoned boat so that it does not look abandoned and then we don't get posts about people looking for an abandoned boat to buy or whatever to live on.
  5. Yes Indeed,it can be complete overload if you haven't been on the forum for a few days.
  6. Ah well if there might be a problem you can turn round and go back the way you came.
  7. If you have an inverter use it and buy 240v,yer can have a greenie as well.
  8. Well you had a good try.............again!If you already have an inverter go for the 240v,I have always said it.

  10. I was watching Horizon, I think it was, a couple of months ago about the development of Graphite and how they will be using it for all sorts of electrical equipment including batteries. They were testing some and they reckon batteries for vehicles would give an increase in performance and longevity of approx. 150%.
  11. You could have a look at my layout and I might sell yer one if yer like it.Just click on my link The Building of Tenacious below.

  13. What if there are no moorings in the area or you are waiting for a mooring. What if through no fault of your own it is not possible to pay for a mooring. What if you have a job in the area but no mooring. What if you have a mooring but just lost your job. What if you have lost a mooring because your wife becomes pregnant and the owners don't like families on the moorings. Not everyone has a pension and a quality boat and can cruise to their hearts content.
  14. Hmmmm,it won't be long I suspect
  15. I won't comment on this post, apart from it is the husband who is making the fuss not the injured wife.
  16. This is my opinion,if I was to climb a slippery ladder out of the lock and was not wearing the appropriate footwear and slipped that is in my view an accident and my fault. If the ladder was to come loose from it's bolts holding it to the lock side that would be CRT's fault and I would quite rightly pursue compensation.I have not seen the offending gravel patch as yet but I will be travelling in that direction soon. The accident as been logged by a couple who live in the canal side property.I have not said that they wish to pursue compensation only that they would like to see what the forums thinks about this.
  17. It's almost August,December would make it just over 4 months.I can only give you the information I have been given and what she has been told by the hospital. She owns and operates a very busy Cafe in Slaidburn.Plated and screwed ankle bones.
  18. I will show them your response in particular.
  19. Right OK thanks everyone I will show him your responses and sorry chazzy I got your post misunderstood.
  20. I beg your pardon sir!So you are saying I have thought this up just to create discussion.I am sitting here having nothing else to do so I think of a topic to discuss!Right OK,lets just say I told her husband who wanted me to post this topic"I told you so".
  21. The wife of a boater friend of mine was helping him through the locks when she slipped and fell on a steep slope covered in gravel. The slope was next to the lock and the gravel was like marbles. She was taken to hospital and found to have broken bones in the ankle and operated on the next day.She is self employed and will be off work until at least December. The question is,my learned friends, does she have any hope of compensation from CRT.
