    Yup we used one, to plan out trip from Gloucester to Leeds. And it failed to mention we'd be stuck at upper lode lock for 3 days in the cold.

    Anyone dropped a phone in the canal and actually got it back? I know I didn't, but it was on the A&CN which is a tad deeper..

    Tbf, when the last storms were due to hit London, it was all over the News days upto the event. Don't think I've seen anything on the main News warning of this one. Not the News I've been watching anyway.

    Spotted this one today on the L&L at Rodley.. Anyone else seen one of these? First one I've seen on the canal network anyway. Lovely bird.

    Another one, I'm cruising past some young kids fishing, when they start throwing their arms around to get my attention. Pointing at the bilge outlet, witch is pumping water out.. "Ere Mr, your boats leaking"

    Did Rodley to East Marton a couple of weeks back, and just brought the boat back to Bingley a couple of days ago. Had a great time, but one thing I did notice was that big hill in Gargrave, with a digger on it destroying it bit by bit.. Anyone know why they are doing that to that hill and why?

    Outer cumulus I think the weather man said.. It was taken on the m62 heading over the pennines, will have been windy up there.

    Of course. Hardly going to be driving down a busy motorway taking pictures of clouds am I?

    Look at this cloud I snapped going down the motorway.. sent it to the local weather man for our region, was hoping it's be shown like they do some times.. Few days later I'd forgotten about it, then one evening, during the bit where newscasters have a little chat about the weather with the weather man. Up pops my pic and they have a little chat about it

    Maybe she thought I fancied a challenge and decided to do the flight in reverse?

    Sorry not sure what happened there... Anyway.. Today I was halfway up a flight of locks. I'm stood on the back deck of my boat closed in a lock and rising, and a lady approaches me, windlass in hand. "Excuse me" she says, "are you going up, or coming down?" Made me laugh anyway.

    It'd be a bit crap without water..

    That filled with some of that smart water. Might not prevent an attack, but would certainly give the old bill something to go on, in catching and punishing these little scrotes.

    And if you don't comply with this does that make you a fender offender?

    Only way you'll drain that part of the boat, is get a high powered pump, and pump out and over the towpath into a nearby field. Good luck.
