Here's a poll just out of interest. Has it worked alright? Seems a bit complicated.

As I put the context of this in a different thread this is what I said:

 

If there is interest in this idea I am willing to approach BW with regards to borrowing one of their pans for use as a skip. I have a short workboat which can be used to aid removal and transport to the skip.

Well, looks like 5 or 6 local people interested and me and I might get a couple more from somewere. I actually think between 5 and 10 would be ideal, its not a massive reach of canal and it's just a day.

 

I'll contact BW sometime about permission and using one of their pans or maybe skips at B&Q (Except often you can't get in there on account of the unofficial moorings)- I would find it enjoyable to use the old wharf where the GUCCCo boats used to collect the barrels of lime juice from Rose's works. If BW would pay for the skips it seems to be a better way than out of the cut into a barge followed by out of the barge into a skip.

 

 

Basic plan is for saturday in mid april sometime but I'll keep posting updates.
