16inch J-Bolt to secure battery

I need 16 inch, (40cm), J-Bolts to secure my batteries, (Trojan T105s), and cant find anything that comes close

 

The way my 4 batteries are laid out, the J-Bolt runs from the top to bottom corners of the 262mm length, rather than the 181mm width, which would be more normal.

 

They seem to come in 6.8mm diameter, and I guess a 17 inch bolt could have its' end bent to form the J.

 

Any suggestions for a J-Bolt, or a slightly longer bolt.

Can you not just buy some threaded bar and make your own ?

You beat me to it.

Threaded bar (6mm, 8mm or 10mm) commonly called studding.

Bend the end over to form the hook and Roberts is your mothers brother.
