Boat insurance

Bewildered

Featured Posts

We have an insurance of £38k total value for £126 this year to include inland and coastal waters of the UK and EU.

We have recently in the last couple of months made our first claim since owning a boat. So we shall see what difference that makes to the premium next year when the renewal is up in February.  Although our no claims are protected the premium will no doubt increase for the claim.

Had my renewal from them today. Also 57' but mine's 8 years old. Mine's £10.70 pcm, down this year from £14.22 last.

I didnt think the 20 years old sounded right, so i got in touch with vikings afloat and it turns out my boat is only 14 years old.

Just remember folks when you all state what your premiums are that a major difference is often down to the so called or otherwise voluntary excess on the policy. For instance the cheapest policies may well have you losing 500 or so quid which means you aren't realy insured but a more expensive policy the excess is often lower this is true of many types of policy and why I have a no excess whatsoever car policy that cost me £1.27 this year to knock the excess to zero.
