I got a set of 4 of the genuine thing in May 2015 for £100 each, delivered, and had the same failure as you, probably for the same reasons. They currently seem to have a capacity of about 200Ah, and I seem to be keeping them there by charging daily, charging for longer one day a week, and recently fitted 490W of solar with a 40A Tracer MPPT.

im not buying Trojans again as the exchange rate has gone against them in a big way. I'll be buying 4 Numax 110 Ah when I get a round tuit.

We are really quite impressed with ours. After a sluggish start when we fitted them in March they have really performed very well over the summer.
