Yes EA get involved in any spillage which has the potential to pollute a watercourse or groundwater, whether it's their waters or not. They should be interested in this one, even if there isn't (yet) any pollution outside the marina.

It makes sense. Some of us tend to think of them as just a rivers authority, but the clue's in their name.

There was an EA van full of water sample bottles at Bill Fen marina last week, with an EA bod in attendance, so I deduce that they do have some sort of power on the Middle Level for pollution control, and they're interested in the water quality in marinas.

Have been away working so not been able to give update,

The OT64[military identity] was raised from the depths of Foxes Marina Tues or Wed, floatation bags to raise then manoeuvred to slipway winch connected and removed, gone it is no more.

The EA number to report this is 0800807060. We are too far away to be affected (Netherlands!) but hopefully one of you will ring?

Why would we want to screw up Foxs?

You had a bad time I understand but why dump on Foxs to get your own back on the Dealer?

Foxs Marina is right next door to the MLC office - who will know all about it - leave it to them to deal with it.

Sunken scrap removed late Wedesday afternoon. Still a fair amount of spillage on the water both in the marina and downstream through the town on Friday night. Both EA and MLC have been and gone. By the time that Foxes, EA and MLC have finshed with Moore, he wished he had gone down with it.
