Engines, Steam and a very small narrowboat.

The weather looked ominous, and the drive there through Brackley to Aynho was more like being on a boat, but the Banbury Rally at Bloxham was a brilliant traditional day out. For some reason, the storms seemed to pass either side and we only got a brief 5 minute shower.

Stationary engines, hundreds of vintage tractors and motorbikes, a good turn out of traction engines big and small with some road rollers thrown in. Scale model displays, fantastic old tool rummage stalls, ice creams and fairground organs.

It was good to escape the online anguish,arguments, heartbreaks and multiple defriendings of people and getting out to being a little Britisher yesterday.

 

There's a real world out there people, enjoy it.

love going to steam rallies, i also have a few open crank engines but dont display them, this is a picture i took at a local steam / farming show - great days out,
