Heyford Fields Marina

H.C.Astell & Co

Featured Posts

We are actively looking for a new marina along the GU, i think we have left it too late as it seems everyone has booked themselves in for winter, we have seen pictures of Heyford and it seems nice, we have not seen or been along any part of this canal yet, and wonder if there is a member who has some video footage of this section.

is there anyone moored at Heyford?

Heyford Fields is a very smart marina, and usually has a waiting list rather than vacancies, although of course it's worth giving them a call. You're more likely to be able to find a berth at Whilton, Gayton, or Blisworth if you want to be in that area.

Heyford Fields does indeed look nice they also have the workshops on site as well which are excellent

However

It is an absolute nightmare to find off the road as there is no sign or anything telling you that you are near the canal

Apparently you are not allowed to spend a single night on board the boat in the marina even if you are going out the following night

But when we pass there appear to be residential boats there, so are they allowed, but non residential owners are not allowed on board at all.

Sounds VERY restrictive if true!
