What is this engine?

Guy on Facebook is trying to sell this as a JP2. It clearly isn't, but what is it?

Interesting, We've seen that photo here before, in another thread. Can't remember which though.

 

I think it was identified as a Petter PJ2 but it doesn't look like one to me....

Rocker covers look wrong for the PH or PJ though. Or did they make them with different styles?

Air intake looks very similar. ETA Cooling duct that is.

 

Sabb? ETA again - No I'm fairly certain it's not.

Just noticed the angle of the injectors. Different to the pictures of PH or PJs I can see on Google.

The rocker covers have a pretty unusual shape, and look to me to be a good match to some PJ2s, but I'm struggling to find a good picture.

Well you can understand how a PJ2 might get misdescribed as a JP2.

 

A bit like a National DM2 getting confused with a Russell Newbery 2DM (or is it the other way round?).

...except that those two really are almost the same engine (well, the old ones were).
