Hi BB, The local landowner at Ladies Bridge, was planning to build a property near the canal bridge and wanted to close the nearby moorings. The bridge had been built by the K & A builders to help the original owner accept the canal, the bridge being named after his wife. Now their descendant's don't want boats next to their new property and using their influence, got the local council to agree and serve an enforcement order. Now BW did not want this to set a precedence, with all new developments closing moorings, so they went to court and thankfully, won. M&P.

Sir Nibble
That's a particularly nice stretch of canal winding through woodland. Good result. I would be interested to know if any councillors are to be surcharged over this.

Kennet DC could have appealed against the decision that the Planning Inspector made, and thus the actual "Winning" part didn't happen until 4 weeks later. Yes It's now all done and dusted.
