mark99
Mark, There's a photo on Emu here in de-converted state prior to restoration. Michael and I are currently working on the website having only published it last week and are hoping to get a few more photos up soon. http://www.southislandmarina.co.uk/home/index.php/restorations/emu Sarah Thanks Sarah, appreciated. sarahavfc
A guy called Steve who writes all the South Midlands boats. I can't remember his surname.
David Mack
On most rivetted boats (not just Joshers) the bow plates have a reverse (concave) curve at the front edge. This brings the plates parallel to the stem post so that the rivets can pass straight through both bow plates and the stem post. The Harland and Wollf GU boats are different. On these the cast stem post has 'wings' running back on either side, and the plates are rivetted to these separately. So on a Woolwich the plating meets the stem at a much blunter angle.
