fsd v ffd

hi all,i,ve been looking at a few ovens for my new nb, and am a little confused, can anyone tell me the difference between,a flame supervision device (fsd) and a flame failure device (ffd),will they both be acceptable for the boat safety cert,thanks in advance for your help

Hi ya,

I think a Definitive answer will be given by our very own MTB,

But my take on it as a best guess is -

To the End User' there is very little difference, I would go so far as to suggest that,

One is for Pilot light monitoring, lets say on Boilers Possibly,And the other for Flame monitoring on cookers once lit, if you've got The clicky pizio ignition !. Bit stress again, it's only my best guess.
