Hi another good half day out

 

The marina has had a free open day for the last 3 years

 

Today was the 3rd despite the rain good fun

 

Fudge boat cheese boat

The fun day barge

Boats to look at

Some stalls and free boat trips!!

Fire brigade doing free boat safety checks

Cake stall

 

And a pub. Large lunch carvery all for under £5

 

Can't not see why it was not advertised around a bit??

 

And brokerage boats to drool over

Knew nothing about this and was looking for something local to do today, in this day and age there are plenty of ways of advertising this sort of thing!

Just got back from the open day.

 

Shame about the weather but not a lot one can do about it.

 

Lionhearts got a last minute invite to come along and publicise our club so we put a display together. Some passing interest but I am sure the weather kept the numbers down,

 

I know what you mean about the publicity, it did seem a bit sparse.

 

Never mind, there's always next year.

Whereas, Lionhearts have an open day in July, and it is always well publicised, and a leaflet drop is always done. Although I live cross the road, I have always been working when it is on.....maybe this year will be different! if only they had moorings for full length craft, Langley Mill is so far away!!!!!
