Lesterboy
I may be interested as I know a local heritage railway which could use them to sell in their second hand shop to raise funds. You say you have a large amount. Would they fit in the boot or back seat of a Ford Focus sized car as I could collect as I'm not far from Weedon on Mondays and Fridays

Many of them are overrun with old magazines that they can barely give away Richard
Graham Davis
If I was nearer I would have them, and then pass them on to The Corris Railway, but a bit too far to travel.

Has the Corris been reactivated, Graham? When I took a closer interest in such things (I used to work on the Festiniog) I seem to remember that there was a museum with some rolling stock and some smaller artefacts, have they got track down now? alan_fincher
Can I suggest you check with the railway first? Many of them are overrun with old magazines that they can barely give away Richard This is quite true. If they are genuine old 1950s / 1960s magazines, in sets and good order, then the railways will be interested, but (in my experience) just general magazines from (say) the last 20 years tend to get politely refused. Can't say if this is true at all "heritage" railways, but where sold, it it is usually for peanuts.

Very active now. They have built a new loco on the style of the originals, (see previous photo) have another loco under construction, have been approved planning consent to extend further down the valley towards CAT, and are generally going well At the moment the Talyllyn have lent them there original Corris loco, so this happened this week: Edited May 4, 2012 by Graham Davis
Athy
Cor! Loco porn, thanks for porning, sorry, posting, Graham. I went to the Tally once many years ago and must have seen 'Sir Haydn' - named after the elderly eccentric who kept the line running against all the odds, I believe, until a certian Tom Rolt came to its rescue.
