well, I've got mynew boat (RAAAY!) however the book doesn't tell me which way round the calorifier connections go.

If any of you scouse boaters out there have nicely marked pipe work, telling you which one's out and which one's in can you have a look for me? (The engine's an Isuzu 35)

Otherwise, does anyone know if there's a way of telling other than taking the cap off and seeing which one spits water out when I turn it over...

Cheers

Stuart is right - Supplementary operators handbook page 28 - Facing the connections the right hand one is the feed to the calorifier the left one is the return.

When I fitted a flap valve in my calorifier circuit, I used two 1/2 inch BSP to hose tails. As I suspect you are aware, the hose tails are too small for the "heater" hose used for the calorifier.

So I used BSP to 15mm compression and put a short bit of 15mm pipe in. Hose fits nice & tightly on that.

That's exactly what we did.
