rockwool and warm lights!

Featured Posts

hi everyone, i have just fitted led downlights, i notice that they are quite warm when in use. What i would like to know is how safe they are with rockwool insulation above them. I wouldnt have thought that they would be hot enough to cause trouble but i thought i should check with the collective! Many thanks

Rockwool is non-flammable.

I wanted to see how non flamable roc wool was out of interest. I put a small bit in the stove and it came out the same as when it went in.

I dont know if the lights will be damaged by not having enough space to cool. I have led downlights and roc wool and I have not had any problems yet.
