As a matter of interest, is the lift pump the same SU pump that was fitted to many 1960's cars? (Fords, BMC etc) I'm interested for future reference in case I might need one. FORTUNATA Posted August 19, 2009 Report Share Posted August 19, 2009 I have a Lister engine and the corresponding fuel lift pump. I also have the diagram of the said pump in my engine manual. Can't quite figure out how it works but you have the usual diaphragm and filter screen and so on and the primer lever below. I don't think it's to difficult to get spares for Lister engines.
