Over Plating, Recommend yards?

Featured Posts

I have a boat Iron hull sides approx 5-6mm and steel bottom 5mm.

I am making enquires for when i'll have her rebottomed.

Can anyone recommend yards/welders anywhere on grand union, oxford, birmingham, leicester sections?

Also any ball park figures from people who have had similar work previously?

Graeme Pierce at Stockton would be someone to help you with that.

We had some welding work done at Grantham Bridge Boat Services, who are based at Hillmorton locks. We had shoes fitted to cover hull wear.

I would recommend them.

It's difficult to work out how much to rebottom your boat as you don't say how big it is.

Have seen boats being overplated at Debdale Marina on the Leicester section seemingly very efficiently, can't comment on the standard or price though.
