I have been informed that Kalzar has been found and recovered.

Other than that I can't add any further information, but perhaps those who know more about it may be able to ?

One less to look for, anyway.

I am sure the police have been in contact with you. I am the person who bought the stolen boat and i need to contact the police dealing with the case. I have lost their contact details and have some valuale information for tem

Anyone seen Kalzar index 503063 removed from a secure mooring at Brentford Brentford sometime over the weekend 14-15th March. Could only have been removed by someone with a boat. Engine has not been started in a long time so it may be travelling buttied up to another boat. Don't believe it's gone onto the Thames but could either be heading north on the GU or trying to reach the L&S via the centre of London. AFAIK craft does not have VHF. Lockies at Limehouse are on the alert as are Thames Lock.

Craft is a 62 foot narrowboat built by John White Boat Builders in 1998. It is painted dark green with dark red panels with white coach strip edging on the side. Cruiser stern with gold/bronze finish hopper type winders with a small almost square window at the rear on the starboard side followed 3 further hopper normal size windows on the starboard side one towards the rear where the bedroom is and the other two quite close together towards the front with a side hatch between the windows. The chimney is also on the starboard side right at the very front of the cabin beyond the forward window.

The boat name is painted in cream and green in large letters on either side of the craft towards the rear.

I have got photos but I don't know how to post them. The police and BW have been informed and are actively searching for the craft. It's not on the lower end of the GU near Brentford as far as we could tell from a search yesterday unless it's lurking in a backwater. I suspect that someone will attempt to disguise it pretty quick by repainting it badly. Names have been suggested as suspects but I couldn't really comment. Will be interesting to see where it's found.

Details should be appearing on www.stolenboats.org.uk very soon.
