Price of gas

Last month I was quoted £22 for a 13kg Calor propane by my local chandelry, with a price increase due in february.

 

I've just bought one in P E T Hire Services, in Crewe, for £16.90 + 5% vat - £17.75. Quite a difference!

Bought 2 13kg Calor bottles from Wigrams Turn marina last week - £20.17 per bottle. I think gas went up significantly just in January.

 

As we are cc-ers, we don't have much choice about where we buy - it has to be marinas.

It's madness init. I still haven't installed gas on this boat, but 10 years ago I think I was paying about £13 for a 13kg bottle.

19kg bottles £16. Ten years ago they were £9. I have to fetch them though. Our marina charges over £22 for a 13kg.

Bought a 13kg bottle form the coal boat in October for £17.50 - same price as in 2006 - in December they'd gone up to £20

I buy my gas off a local boater for £15 per 13kg bottle, not sure how much Sawley marina sell it for now, it used to be £14.99 3 years ago.

At that price it sounds like you could go into business yourself!
