Shore power trips after a few minutes

That looks like it might be an inline galvanic isolator

That looks an ideal installation for train rain water to drip down the yellow cable and into the plug/socket.

If you cannot change the cable routing then try filling the yellow cable entry with silicon sealer.

 

Edit to remove the spurious 'train'

Also the cable entry from the top of the connector into the boat is not ideal, and will likely let water enter the socket. Some kind of grommet may help.Those gray plastic things go brittle after a few years.
