Recommendations for plumber/gas engineer (Nottingham/shire)

Hello,

 

I wondered if anyone could recommend a good plumber/gas engineer in the Nottingham/shire area.

 

I currently have a gas hot water heater that I'd like someone to take a look at to either repair, or replace if required.

Jim Parkinson from Derby was very good when we needed him to come out to us to sort out a gas problem.  07950 472406.  However, the expert for gas water heaters is Paloma Bob - the only problem is you have to send the heater to him  and he will service and check it. Ours was turned around in about a week.

Quite a few gas engineers will remove the heater for you to send off to Paloma Bob, he is excellent. 
However is it something simple like the pilot light not staying on or igniting the burner? A careful clean with a tiny paintbrush or small toothbrush may be able to sort it?

Richard Fee. I don't think he does BSS examinations any more. Or perhaps it's surveying he no longer does. But I believe he still does gas work.

He no longer does Surveys, but will do gas work and BSS inspections. I doubt he will travel that far unless he can do a few jobs at the same time, he’s started to a bit less these days.
