I think you will find the 'bedroom tax' applies to people in 'social housing', in orther words a council house (& possibly a housing association house), but not private houses.

It was a very tongue in cheek question.

Not correct. Only tenants in social housing are affected (Welfare Reform Act 2012)

There are similar rules which affect those in private rented accommodation. Age and family size dictate how many bedrooms you are deemed to need and a fair rent figure is asribed to each size of dwelling. I forget the precise figures (and I think it depends where you live), but it is something like £400 pcm for a 1 bedroom property and £750 for a three bedder roudn here (East Cheshire). I imagine most people's mooring+licence fees would come under those ceilings and if not, I think they pay up to the ceiling.
