Wooden Butty at Hemel Hempsted

Saw this for sale:

A 40 foot butty is unusual, if it's a cut down (begs the question 'why?').

 

Does anyone know the boat (better still any pictures). I'd email the vendor but I don't want to mislead him into thinking a 40' wooden butty is worth £10k.

Dont know if this is the boat but its just above Hemel near Boxmoor....not a full pic of the boat as swmbo took the pic purely for the sign.

 

As far as i recall she does look a little tired and plenty of plants on the bow

though she ain't 40'. I'm a bit dubious about the length quoted because there seems no point chopping down a butty and not motorising it.

I know jester has been there for some years but thats all i could come up with....struggling to remember others.....maybe magnetman could help as he is often up that stretch

There are a couple around that area.

jester has been discounted as its full length.

Just below jester there is a wooden Front end I think that has a square back about 40ft long and has fittings for an outboard

At B&Q there is another again IIRC square backed no name or number

Those are the only Two that I can remember.
