In The first one, my god, did he not realise that the boat was a bit bigger than the others.

 

And in the second one, do you rekon it was a computer operated bridge, or the case that some has been fired sonce the accident?

2nd one, what was that bridge made of! it made the ship look like it was made of paper!

There's an account of the first one here. It seems she lost power and couldn't stop.

 

The second one was also in Canada, and there's an accident report here.

Thanks for those links................

The second one which is a detailed investigation into the accident makes very interesting reading. I love this description of the bridge operator Quote; " The police officer and the SLSMC area coordinator indicated that they found the operator sitting in the dark and described his condition as shaken up or in shock."
