Middlewich Big Lock

We are planning a trip on kelpie starting later this week and I wonder if the Big lock in Midllewich is open again. It was due to open on 31/1 and someone asked on here if it was open or not but i didn't see any reply.  Does anyone know for sure?

The plan is to go up the Cheshire locks (a trial run for my new Gowindlass windlass which Santa brought me)  then along the Macc as far as we can.

True! It has looked pretty deserted the last few times we have passed . Has it changed hands? I have obviously not been paying attention on here if I have missed a notice about it.

Thank you. I had missed that, having been away for the weekend. Good news indeed and it will be good to see it in use again. I just didn't look right being unused.

S E Barlow has replied to the other thread on the lock saying that it is now open although the bridge is still shut.  We will be going past Middlewich Wharf now!
