There is a drain off nut on these heaters,undo it or remove it depending on which heater you have ,open a tap and it should drain itself.

When i was manager of a caravan park,this is exactly the method we used,but sprayed it with wd40.

When i was in the fire brigade we had a master key.it was called a bolt cropper.

If it was me,i would take the boat to the nearest pub and have the get together there.you could invite as many as you like,and they could use the pub toilet instead of filling up yours.Hope you have a nice time.

With the starter battery reading 11.7 volts im surprised it started.could be your volt meter.

Ive got the volts only one and its very good and quite accurate,but i got it from a uk seller,if you do order that one don't forget to order the shunt if you want to measure amps.

If it was mine i think i would wait and see what happened when it rained again.(thursday i think)because you have probably blasted water up through the hoppers,if its rained since you power washed it,and they still leak,then disreguard my sugestion. Twinpot

It was my fault Rod,but having read about how a boat can be half full of crap which you can't get out,and you have to poke it with a stick to try and break up the solids,then pour in soapy water and rock the boat from side to side,and it still may not work,i really did fall in love with my nice clean Thetford Cassette. But on reflection i may have been a little insensative to Cheshire Roses problem,so i will also say sorry.

I love my Thetford Cassette more and more each day.

I have the same switch,but it is only used for the charging of the batteries,i turn it to position 1 then start the engine,after a couple of mins i turn it to position both,and leave it there till i stop the engine,then i turn the switch to the off position.I have a seperate switch to suply power to the boat.AS you found out leaving it at position both connected your starter battery to the domestics.i find this charging system works well and is very simple to understand.

If its the first time you have turned the water on this year,have you opened all the taps to release the air.

The maximum visitor licence is 21 days,the only moorings are Pyrford marina and Farncombe Boat House,i think Pyrford do short term moorings,not to sure about Farncombe.Mooring on the towpath you must not leave your boat unattended over night. Good luck.

Just bought one of these off of ebay,item no.220869308447 looks brand new,works perfectly,and only uses 1.7 amps on 12v,delivered next day.

Lift the bottle with both hands so it is just off the ground,then swirl it round and round two or three times,then stop quickly,you should then be able to tell roughly how much gas is left in the bottle. Hope this makes sense.

Yes its because of the low water table,and the double movement of over 80 boats will have a large impact on water levels,they dont expect normal navigation to be affected this year.Does anyone know if the Byfleet Boat Club Weyside 2012 is still being held on the 5th to the 7th may at the New Inn,or has this been cancelled as well.
