I doubt there will be any overheating problems but, and an important but, any combustion product leakage from head gasket, exhaust flanges or pipework will build up in the boat Your lungs, your call!
Ours is the same, the push/pull handle shaft is 3/4 inch square for about 9 inches and runs through a plate support. A 1/8 inch cut out in the square shaft drops and locks the push/pull in neutral unless held up for normal forward/reverse operation.
Does as far as I'm concerned as it seems to imply that my next 6 month licence will be subject to an additional £150 charge.

I cannot recall filling one in for many years, I just ring up, confirm name, address and index number and give my debit card number.
My 'phone call was after their letter and I wished to speak to a manager to ensure that this issue was finally sorted out, I was assured it would be and I then requested that they put that in writing so there would be no further misunderstanding.
Agree, the reminder is of great benefit to many people who might need reminding, does not apply in my (possibly) unusual case though.
