I suppose I'm lucky in that we have a weekly market (Thursday) that has a wet fish stall, also a pub that has a sea food stall and to finish off a wet fish shop open 6 days a week, all straight from the fish market. I do not buy my fish from supermarkets as I have found its to old due to its road mile-edge, Catch, take to harbour,take to fish market,take to packing plant, take to distribution centre, take to supermarket and then me take home--- thats a lot of miles !!
As I do not eat Salmon (farmed), Trout(farmed)or Cod (I prefer Rock Eel (Bull Huss), and Tuna ( not rod + line caught )then I am already most of the way there, but it still galls me to find out just how much is being wasted.
