  1. Watching the programme from last night we noticed a couple of shots of Silkwood (the boat we had a share in for couple of years), one shot in the lock, then another as the son Sam walked past.

  4. Many thanks for your feedback, i've just ordered a Unlocked Three Black Huawei E5331 High Speed 3G MiFi 21.1 Mbps HSPA+ MOBILE BROADBAND from Amazon £46-95.
  5. This ebay item 280959980320 NEW BLACK**UNLOCKED** HUAWEI E5331 21.1 MBPS 3G HSPA MIFI WIFI MODEM - UK SELLER CHOICE OF FREE UK/EU/USA PLUG + FAST INT TRACKED POST At present i have a 5gb monthly contract (out of contract) Huawei E160G dongle, paying £8-27 p/m. I rarely use this dongle now, just keep it when we're away from home but don't think it's worth ending the service with it being a good deal that i got when 3 launched the 5gb per month & only costs me £8-27. Can i take the sim out & put it straight into one of these new MiFi boxes, this would make it easier than plugging my 5m usb extension lead in between the dongle & netbook. Even if i plug the dongle straight into the netbook i worry about snapping it when it's on my lap.
  6. My old daewoo matiz got us through all sorts of weather a couple years ago whereas other cars couldn't handle the roads.

  10. -5.5 as it got light here this morning but now a tropical -3.5 here & it's sunny. Paths & roads were lethal last night after another snowfall which froze within no time.
  11. From around 3pm the snow came in thick & fast with some rather large flakes. Had around 6" here now, very wet slushy snow which is weighing the trees & phone cables down, i'm sure it'll freeze overnight. Not looking forward to the hours drive to Hospital in the morning for my MRI
  12. A covering of snow here on the Lincs coast when i awoke at 3am & still snowing now

  16. Go into your local council office & fill out a form stating your reason/illness & they usually give a key out for free.
  17. I'm still on the original "3" offer of 5gb monthly for £8 & it's been the best dongle i've ever used.

  24. Hi all Any updates for the Llangollen? We are doing our first trip on this stretch of water, starting out from Acton Bridge on Friday for a fortnight. Have a crew onboard with big appetites too!! So will be on the lookout for restocking with meat & veg, also don't mind trying a pub or two. This will be our last trip as we've sold our share & will be boatless for the forseable future due to other commitments..we had our first grandson born last weekend
  25. Well that's pure rats piss Honestly though when i was an apprentice many years ago, then a field engineer we were taught from the start that being careful in manholes etc was important due to this disease & it was easy to catch. When on the boat i always have a bottle of alcohol rubbing gel near to hand, i also carry a bottle in the car too as i have a low immune system. The time i fell in the canal i was more worried about catching something than anything else
