  1. The phrase that refers to deck chairs and Titanic come to mind.
  2. indeed muddled no reason to think it would not work on a boat
  3. this is a compressor fridge equivalent https://inlanderlowvoltage.com/product/12v-lec-tabletop-fridge/ , much more efficient but a bit dearer, there are larger models though. Alternatively something like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dellonda-Portable-Compressor-Freezer-Camping/dp/B08CPWXQS3/ref=sxin_14?asc_contentid=amzn1.osa.97f2eb76-3d7f-4216-826f-d933b60d59a3.A1F83G8C2ARO7P.en_GB&asc_contenttype=article&ascsubtag=amzn1.osa.97f2eb76-3d7f-4216-826f-d933b60d59a3.A1F83G8C2ARO7P.en_GB&creativeASIN=B08CPWXQS3&cv_ct_cx=12v%2Bcompressor%2Bfridge&cv_ct_id=amzn1.osa.97f2eb76-3d7f-4216-826f-d933b60d59a3.A1F83G8C2ARO7P.en_GB&cv_ct_pg=search&cv_ct_we=asin&cv_ct_wn=osp-single-source-pecos-desktop&keywords=12v%2Bcompressor%2Bfridge&linkCode=oas&pd_rd_i=B08CPWXQS3&pd_rd_r=7c9dd947-b4dc-4e7b-a264-1de9eea935f6&pd_rd_w=opNnl&pd_rd_wg=xTZJG&pf_rd_p=902430b3-df66-4df2-8fce-28f7ad2204c5&pf_rd_r=AGXZ36JHZ4SQXH529Y9N&qid=1638051755&sr=1-3-c84eb971-91f2-4a4d-acce-811265c24254&tag=whatsthebestosp-21&th=1 Or if you have a reasonable size (1000w up) pure sine wave inverter an efficient mains fridge would work but you would need to do some homework on how much extra current the inverter takes.

and the agent's fee. Alternatively dismantle and bring in a bit at a time within your personal allowance.
  13. not if is connected with toilets and log jams!!!
  14. Just wondering of the various pump out / sea toilets available which use the most water for flushing
  15. I'm not on the boat so can't examine the tank cap but coolant overflow is definitely from the manifold cap
  16. This is the standard Beta fit from their parts list. Plain cap on expansion tank which connects to tapping on thermostat housing. 13 psi standard pressure cap retained on heat exchanger. From memory I think they use a repurposed Citroen expansion tank!
  17. afaik they all still work albeit only one side has been electrified, Pickets of course was always single.
  18. probably 2 reasons why it is not common now, 1) CRT has no corporate memory anymore 2) it probably doesnt work with ash from smokeless

  20. proper coal ash was fine for improving towpath surfaces and sealing lock gates, unfortunately smokeless is good for neither
