  1. Hi Alan My fin rad circuit joins at the end. Coats already on I'm gone.
  2. This is a little different! It's only pump outs that are supposed to have the problem with smell, allegedly.
  3. Hi duztee Where does Gas Oil come in all of this?
  4. You are still missing the point. Even with selective quoting. The creditors have not been given the best shot. Why would I want to ask the new owner? I am not in the business of giving people unfair profits, profits they have neither earned or deserve. I have never involved myself in making money out of other peoples misery. The business ethics you are suggesting are not something I would want to be involved with. Let me ask you something are you connected with this sale? For you seem to be keen to make a complete stranger a lot of money.
  5. What point are you trying to make? It's not about Obtaining satisfaction from having paid the correct price,it's about giving creditors the best deal going. It would appear in this case that this didn't happen. To suggest that someone to pay an extra 54k to be able to have an opinion is nonsense, as much is the statement "It's worth what someone paid for it on the day" I would have paid up to double of the final sale price, and turned it into a project, had I known about it. What really is the issue here, just how few or many people actually knew about this auction, it would appear not many.
  6. Hi Gibbo Only animals and humans included that eat meat ( carnivores) does their waste smell. How you treat this is whether you are to deal with an aerobic or anaerobic situation.
  7. Why is it not possible to filter the spill? It is still under pressure from the pump, and will clean up any impurities left in the fuel. Eventually this would catch any contaminates in the fuel. Would it not?
  8. Bones How could you ? Mc donalds coffee is a misnomer. Report to me after school. (wicked)

  10. Blackrose Not quite as dramatic as that, although the sound effects can be frightening.
  11. Hi Black rose. Drip/gravity systems come with a different set of problems. The chip pan effect to name but one.
  12. Hi Blue String/Cugsey Ditto the reliability, can't say I have experienced any problems re batteries though. I did with an Eberspacher on a horse box though, when it was time to go home the lorry batteries were flat, had to get a tow to start. As for size ours sits on the swim no problems there. All in all a very good product

  14. Nick Alex According to the posts on this forum (which you will soon establish for yourself when you troll through all that the search will have thrown up) problems do seem to occur with these heaters. I would recommend that you look at a Hurricane, they work on a different system of combustion and do not develop the carbonising that the others are reported to be troubled with. If you get to understand how the different heater systems work, you can then draw your own conclusions. More expensive than most but, speaking from a personal point of view, more reliable. In the five years that we have had ours it has only failed once and that was my fault.
  15. Hi Smelly This depends on the condition internally, the burner can be removed and sent to Alde for servicing. It will have to be converted to balanced flue. You can do this quite cheaply, but you will need to buy the cowl from Alde, the rest is relatively easy. I think a new boiler is about £900.
  16. Four mag valves, Two two way switches, two tee fittings and a tank stat, you could make it fully automatic at the flick of a switch. Which will give you the choice in the heating source, either via the engine or the boiler. Added to which you would have the choice of hot water priority or both IE central heating and hot water. Two 12volt, port/diverter valves would replace the mag valves and tee pieces, and do the same thing, depending on the availability and price.
  17. Hi Dor How about a relay and two mag valves, with the stat or selector switch controlling the relay? 12v relays and mag valves are easy to get.

  19. Smelly You could use a modellers G cramp, or the smallest G cramp you can get it will do the same thing. You could even try with some mole grips, going in easy stages until you stop the creep.

  22. Hi Smelly I think the terminology is throttle creep, it comes on with age. Some Morse controls do have a friction device some do not, I dismantled the Morse on my first boat only to find it didn't have one. I was about to replace the Morse and rang a company in Peterborough who informed me what I needed was a cable brake £5 instead of £80 A very nice man saved me all that dosh. It turned out that this throttle brake fits over the outer of the Morse cable and as you adjust it squeezes the outer of the cable onto the inner, the tighter you adjust the more friction you create. A simple fix to an annoying fault. The way some of the boat builders do it is to use an extra long Morse cable and create a loop somewhere in the run, as things wear you can reduce the radius of the loop which will increase the friction.
  23. Fuel filter for a Beta 43 Greenline, are there any replica filters available or does it have to be a Beta only part? The Beta No for this filter is 211 60210 Any Ideas. I have used the search, without any luck as this subject has come up before.
  24. Hi John ColeCraft almost certainly will, probably from memory. They stretched my first boat which was 10yrs old from 47' to 60' Sam remembered it, even recalled the sign written picture of an otter on its back. As Malarky said "they are very robust boats" after ours had been stretched it berthed next to a brand new Colecraft, it was a mirror image, so design wise nothing had changed in the 10 yrs between their builds. Give ColeCraft a ring ask for Sam or Dom Cole. Please lets us know how you get on. All the best Big Col
  25. Hi Paul What a load of b-----s that is, knowing how to fit it, what crap. Has this plumber spent half his life in learning how to fit a washer? answer NO. Shown to him as an apprentice, this is how you do it 5 Min instruction. Typical rip off to charge £20 to do so.
