  1. We Have just bought fuel (84ppl) on the 24/08/11 from Bletchley at All Oaks wood on the North Oxford. He was heading for the south Oxford with a delivery of coal.
  2. We have seen a very mixed picture this year! Also talking to a few people at hire bases I think that more boats are going out on short breaks rather than full weeks or longer.

We came up the Avon two weeks ago and stood looking from the Recreation ground moorings back at that point just thinking about the moment we got the telephone call from Phil Capp!! But Oasis Too is still going strong have seen her about three times this year, and no I am not concerned about too much water, More too little. We draught 29 inches and a few bits of the macc are slow going at the best of times!

  5. Just bought 4 US2200 6v 236Ah batteries for £470.00 Inc vat see Warwick Batteries post in equipment (Nb no connection to Company just very satisfied customer)

  7. We have just replaced our domestic batteries with four 6v semi traction batteries at a cost of £470.00 Inc Vat, from Warwick Batteries who are just opposite the Saltisford Arm. They brought the new batteries across to the access gate to the mooring carried them to the boat and collected the old batteries. All in all first class service and price. (Nb I have no connection with the company just a very satisfied customer)
  8. Problems at lock 26 on the South Stratford bottom cill has failed! BW on Scene but Stoppage is very likely as the situation is worsening. We only just made it through !!! Stoppage now on Waterscape 3rd august UFN: Post edited as I cannot count It is lock 26 not 27

  13. Kristian The cable i was looking for is to complete my smartbank install! before the new replacement alternator is fitted now hopefully Wed PM, not sure what your jump leads post means!
  14. Thanks for that I will keep him in mind. Happily JD have come back this morning and said that they can let me have the cable I need for tommorow lunch time.
  15. Hi We are currently at Gailey lock waiting for a replacement Domestic alternator (failed after 4000 hours). I want to take the chance to fit my smart bank but need a length of battery cable with terminations fitted. JD Boat services at Gailey may be able to supply but are a bit vague about it! Is their anyone near who could supply and deliver if they cannot.

  18. No we are loving it! The view outside the boat window is a winter wonderland dealing, with this kind of weather is about preparation and organisation.

  23. We have just passed through Appely bridge to Gathurst bridge pound and it is virtually empty!! at 29" we were bumping along the bottom and could not get to the bank luckily the boat we are travelling with is much shallower draft very worrying!
  24. Currently killing time just below Rufford, before moving up to Tarleton ready for monday morning when we make our crossing of the Ribble Link for a month on the Lancaster
