  1. Four counties we did in 7 days peak time, we hire boats. I would recomend 10 days it was tough in 7 and didn;t really give us time to enjoy some of the villages enroute
  2. Aw love thi, you are the nice people us hirers meet, some of us don't need help, but lots do and your education is going to keep people and property safe for years to come,, thank you.
  3. Nice one Biscuits how you manage to get round the vat law thing?
  4. Both great finds old love but Ebay no good to OP, her that needs to be obayed is calling the shots "Joking "
  5. I have been hiring for over ten years, because I have not been in the financial position to buy, however one of the nice things of this is I have had many wounderful holidays with family and friends who share the costs. Sharing a boat with people really does pull people together, (dispite of late some on the cut dispise hireboaters) Share with family, friends, person in the pub your talking too (future friends) this will bring down the cost to an aceptable level and will open up a new experience in holidays.
  6. Stick to the basics first, as suggested buy a new filler cap, run engine with this off untill air in system as migrated off then fit cap to pressurise, check for any leaks anywhere. Then report on here when the "experts" will advise if required.
  7. Just had a thought mate, go for the best, I'm paying. At least this month my contribution to tax will be going to someone that will appreciate it
  8. Don't know what a audio visual tech/sound engineer does but a production engineer works with plc's, invertors sensors etc. and this type of meter is a must. The ability to generate a current is esential for setting up controlled valves, flow meters etc. and yes it had to be calibrated by credited organisations to meet some standards BRC for example. Some thing of this nature, newer of course would meet your needs
  9. Sorry for big image, my mastery of the site is site including the h
  10. Sorry I didn't know you ment THE financial controller. Depends how much insurance she has out on you, cheep could tell you a circuit is dead, I've had some "expriances" with cheep live line indicators in the past. Seriously depends on what you want the meter to do and how much accracy you require and how much you will be using it. If said item is just for occasional testing of a battery bank and have I got power to the head lamp then go for a mid range price and treat The controller to a night out on the saving.
  11. Ask him or her to work with Quickbooks in future! Fluke anyday of the week. Mine are getting quite dated now. Fluke 75 multy meter, served me well for over 20 years and still going strong, and a Fluke 787 Processmeter, over engineered for my requirments now but when I was on the tools in a factory it was the best. Both were expensive at the time a got them but I've had my money's worth times many.
  12. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 10 posts to view.
  13. I have found a way to do it, bit long winded but works Click on the multy post cross on all the post, drop then in the submit reply box, right click select all. Press delete to get rid of them. Open up a word document, right click paste. You can them remove spaces, unwanted items, links (That still work), etc. and print the result.
  14. Biscuit re-read your own posts and don't try to be smart My opions of bigots will never change.
  15. In the "real world" Biscuit there are laws supporting many minorities from race, religion, sexual orientation etc etc. If you need to ask me if I base my post on the real world then I question what you consider the differance between theory and fact. Yes there are many in this country that ignor these laws to inflict their vile opinions on us all and actions on minorities, It is up to the silent majority to speak out against them.
  16. Just found this thread on view new content. It appears to me that the "majority rules" and stuff the opinions of minorities. This is not what a democractic sociaty is based upon. Tolerance, understanding and inclusion is primary in any section. I did not take part in this vote, didn't see it, but can only say, all new content should be available to all, we all have the ability then to click on view or not, that should be the choice not a majority of people denying a minority that right
  17. Hi Tumsh I've tried that too in word, & note, also excell which I'm more in tune with , in all you still have to do it page by page. Where are the geeks when you need them!! probably signing up to work for Borris!!
  18. Maybe I could then slim it down just to your posts in case we run out of toilet paper. Sorry for late response to all your posts, been away. On this site there are thousands of tips, tricks, advise etc. Some of the problem solving threads have many contributions that lead to route cause, these would be usful to print off and put in a folder for when!. There are links to lots of different, useful topics, items for sale, practical items etc. (perhaps the site could create a "links" thread, where people could drop a simple explanasion of what it is and the link). Thanks again for all your posts, even those that did attempt humour
  19. God knows who she is but when I use shit google Cheshire this is your claim to fame deleted image because I dont know here and I don't want to offend Sorry ms nice smile I tried to delete

  21. When I was an apprentice 1976 to 1981 an old electrician told me "think of the future" and fit a socket in every room. What do you think he would be telling you now?
  22. Wow hope you are good at DIY, I'm an old engineer but would not take on this dream, but dreams is what makes life good so who am I to throwt them. Good luck with this project and I'm sure lots on here will help you.
  23. You may be right, but I was admiring the abilities of someone in a wheel chair to carry out some of the tasked we have asked of him. If he is chair bound and not able to carry out the tests then I admire his ability to use the thread to find out information that others can use on his behalf. Good luck to the bloke and hope we can all help each other any way we can. I have posted a request to find out how to print a thread so I can put together a route cause analysis on none running engines to help others because this thread and the contribution of all was a magic class in engineering but requires capturing for future people require help.
