  2. Yes I need to update my map, I got most of the proposed diversions from the canal society but they didn't send me that bit.
  3. I'm still looking, but yet to find a map confirming the locks, the route to middleforge is on early OS maps though.

  5. At the moment this is the best that I have managed to map Pidcocks canal.
  6. There is a similar plan for the Ashby canal through Measham, the original line is built on but the old railway is available.
  7. There are a few other odd remnants of the Croyden canal, but not much, a small section in Dacres road wood.
  8. You need an automatic stop gate for breaches, but I wonder if those that lay flat on the canal bed would ever actually work.

  17. There's aproblem if your bashing the bottom gate cill, top gate yes.
  18. It lasts for years, when we restored Malham lock on the Wey & Arun, we found the original bottom gate cill and planking in perfect condition after 110 years of abandonment.
