  18. I suggested this to a builder (can’t remember which) at the Crick Show 3 years ago. It would require more headroom than available as standard and that may be the real issue (unless, of course, you were short of stature?). Ian

I understood that the alternator output was, essentially, governed by the vehicle battery which, as you say, is discharged very little so the alternator ’throttles back’ relatively quickly and, consequently, very little charge ends up going into the leisure batteries. Have I got that wrong or is that why @peterboat uses the workaround that he does? Ian
  20. I understood that it’s been shown that it’s less effective at preventing mild illness but remains effective against serious illness. Ian
  21. Driving puts very little into the leisure batteries unless you fit a B2B and, perhaps, could be part of the solution. Ian
  22. It is, by far, the biggest one. The trick with all fora though is sorting the wheat from the chaff in terms of which members know their onions. Ian

  24. That would be seriously bad planning! Generally, you only ever have one tank full and the other empty or you have the redistribution of a proportion of the fresh water ending up in the grey waste tank. That’s why most grey tanks are smaller than the van’s associated fresh water tank. Ian
  25. Where have you seen that? I’ve never seen a lady emptying the cassette on her hand! ????? Ian?
