  1. I suggested this to a builder (can’t remember which) at the Crick Show 3 years ago. It would require more headroom than available as standard and that may be the real issue (unless, of course, you were short of stature😉). Ian
  2. I understood that the alternator output was, essentially, governed by the vehicle battery which, as you say, is discharged very little so the alternator ’throttles back’ relatively quickly and, consequently, very little charge ends up going into the leisure batteries. Have I got that wrong or is that why @peterboat uses the workaround that he does? Ian
  3. I understood that it’s been shown that it’s less effective at preventing mild illness but remains effective against serious illness. Ian
  4. Driving puts very little into the leisure batteries unless you fit a B2B and, perhaps, could be part of the solution. Ian
  5. It is, by far, the biggest one. The trick with all fora though is sorting the wheat from the chaff in terms of which members know their onions. Ian
  6. Have you signed up here: Motorhome Fun Lots of experience on there too. Ian
  7. That would be seriously bad planning! Generally, you only ever have one tank full and the other empty or you have the redistribution of a proportion of the fresh water ending up in the grey waste tank. That’s why most grey tanks are smaller than the van’s associated fresh water tank. Ian
  8. Where have you seen that? I’ve never seen a lady emptying the cassette on her hand! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Ian😉
  9. I reckon boaters probably have fewer opportunities to use external facilities. I would venture to suggest that boaters would manage fewer days than motorhomers since they are, effectively, living onboard whereas motorhomers are likely to spend a greater proportion of the day away from the vehicle. I don’t know if that hypothesis is supported by the responses above but if the total suggested by @Alan de Enfield is indeed 4 then given that @Ray T and myself are both Motorhomers, that lends some weight to the hypothesis. Ian
  10. Two of us; with a 15l cassette about 4 days. It’s all about inventory management; never miss an opportunity to use off board facilities. Ian
