  1. Hello, After thinking I only had a looked behind the calorifier and saw 2 fittings with nothing attached, however the coil which is connected to the engine has a 1/2 bsp fitting but these are bigger than that, 3/4 maybe? Would this be another coil in there? Regards Mitch
  2. Hello, I have a single coil calorifier which is hooked up to my engine, is there any reason I can't tee off of the connections coming out of the calorifier and add it to my heating circuit coming off the eberspacher, Regards Mitch
  3. Boards are rot resistant as they are made of plastic so no need to worry about how well the edges are sealed
  4. I think so too as it cannot rot I think the ply will still go at some point if you don't seal the edges properly when cut. The price was £60 per sheet + vat I paid £190 for both sheets including delivery. I phoned around a few places but that seemed to be the cheapest. It was from "second life products Wales" who were very helpful
  5. Its brilliant stuff so far. Only time will tell I guess, I purchased the standard stuff with the anti slip surface. It does feel lighter than the like for like sized ply boards I replaced them with however I think they were soaked with water!
  6. Haha not joking just got the little flag with 18 on it !
  7. Got the artificial grass on today very pleased with it. It's not fixed down in any way so if i need to get underneath I can just roll it up.
  8. find a good local plumbers merchant and explain what you need they should be able to come up with something, the 3/4 to 15mm compression each side I purchased they called a "heater tee" was about £12 though if I remember
  9. Very pleased with the product, there wasnt much difference in strength between this and the 18mm ply however I have reinforced the underside of the boards with 25mm roofing battens. Artificial grass coming tomorrow ! The anti slip works well. it rained most of the day today and did not notice it being slippery
  10. I am thinking of some how attaching fake astro turf grass to the boards to combat this
  11. I have just purchased 2 sheets of anti-slip eko ply which is recycled plastic ply 19mm thick. Due for delivery friday so will see what its all about when they arrive! I paid £60 per sheet.
  12. Use a blow torch to bubble the paint then scrape away I found this to be the quickest method

  15. Hello, I replaced the cruiser stern decking about a year ago with exterior ply that I had painted using gloss paying special attention to the edges however this still did not work and it has now completely split. I am now looking to replace the deck boards, I considered composite decking but I cannot allow water to run between the grooves as the engine is underneath. What do other people use? Pic of my deck here. Is there some kind of product on the market made for this. Kind Regards Mitch
  16. I used valspar paint on my boat brilliant stuff
  17. Hello, I am in Milton keynes and need a valuation done on my boat for the insurance. Does anybody have any contact details for anybody doing this? And what is the going rate for this kind of thing? Regards Mitch
  18. I will try the £5 fernox lsx fix first I have actually brought a new pump but received it with the wires severed so it inspired me to try and fix this one
  19. Hello, My shurflo pump is leaking around the black section where the two halfs meet. I was just speaking to someone along the towpath and he said this often happens when they freeze (this pump probably has frozen as last winter it was being overplated with no heating for 3mths when it was a shell). He was saying something about a kit to repair it but I cant seem to find anything online relating to this. I would like to see if I could repair it as we all no they arent cheap! Regards Mitch
  20. You might not want people coming to the mooring but.. I would say that a brokerage will offer you at least 4-5k below the market value as there needs to be money in it for them. So if someone said to you, i will give you 5k for people to come and visit your boat at it's mooring you would say yes! So just put up with it and sell it for what it's worth!!
  21. If your in fenny willow bridge marina is only about a mile South it's about 65p I think. I'm on the blue boat by the permanent moorings by the locks pop down if u get the chance!
