Slight variation but on the same theme, my house is currently on the market for offers around 100k. Had an offer yesterday 82000. Now that is really taking the piss....

That is not my practice, I was generalising as that is the way it seems to work. I have sold a fair few things in my time and always price things realistically.

It's quite simple really. seller wants as much as he can get . Buyer wants it for as little as possible. The middle ground is the fair price .

Overplated boats that have been done correctly are fine but one that has been poorly done could end up a liability. I am looking for a boat at the moment and would probably avoid a boat with overplating due to the unknown. Rick.
