  1. Well we certainly have members in the area.

  5. Not if you used tannelised wood, plus if you use battens you could put some insulation between them so might help to keep the boat warmer and reduce condensation.
  6. Is there a reason you aren't putting the water tank in the more usual place in and across the bows of the boat? That way stops the side to side movement associated with a tank on one side.
  7. Worcs CC website shows the road is closed.

  9. I would suggest you get Bizzard to visit anyway, so that he can point out what is what on your engine and help you understand simple things like regular maintenance.

  11. Croft Rd, which is the road between Pitchcroft and the river: https://www.worcester.gov.uk/croft-road-car-park Pitchcroft itself: https://www.worcester.gov.uk/pitchcroft-car-park Not particularly, (see the maps linked to above), other than a small cafe by the railway viaduct. It's probably a 10 minute walk into the main shopping area.

  13. That reads as if it is YOU that wants them to do this, and not them, and I suggest that this is not the way to go. It has to be THEIR choice, not yours. As said above, I suspect they would be better off travelling around in their camper van.
  14. Would be useful to know where you are.
  15. Can we please stop feeding the funny small "thing" that lives in caves or under bridges?
  16. Yes you may, if the land or mooring owner has made a decision not to charge, but on a river legally they do have a right to make that charge and ask you to leave. Just look at the situation on the Thames.
  17. Thank you Nigel. I wasn't too sure but thought that was the case. Looks like another flaw in the OP's arguments. Which if I remember rightly was done at Worcester, with agreement between Worcester City Council and BWB at that time, and the boat removed to the Oil Dock at Diglis. (It is useful being an ex Worcester resident!)
  18. Sorry, but fitting out a boat is nothing like doing the same in bricks and mortar! And pigs might fly!! Plenty of people on here can very quickly prove that that is incorrect.
  19. I suggest that before you make such statements you check for any By-Laws that Worcester City Council may hold on the land comprising The Pitchcroft and it's surroundings, especially concerning the river frontages from Worcester Bridge northwards. Those may well include some very historic legislation that I am sure came to light some years ago concerning one of the trip boats. You might also note that a By-Law prosecution may not involve contract law.
  20. But as Captain Pegg has pointed out to you they haven't broken the GDP Regulations. Perhaps you need to read his comments again. I see someone earlier used the term "barrack room lawyer".....................................if the cap fit's................................................... Correct, Rachael.
  21. I can't find anywhere that Captain Pegg hasn't actually stated that any of us were totally wrong.
  22. And 7.11 still applies to the statement I have now made twice.

  25. I shall repeat; A mooring provider, in this case Worcester City Council, provides a service to CaRT licence holders by allowing those boaters to moor on land legitimately owned (for many years) by them and for which they legitimately make a very reasonable charge. Failure to pay that charge is an offence under By Laws passed for Worcester City Council. Therefore they can apply to CaRT for details of the licence holder and CaRT can issue those details under GDPR and CaRT's own Terms & Conditions. This has been confirmed by Captain Pegg.
