Just checked my phone numbers and thats the same fella i had out to service mine, nice bloke and can recommend. Like i mentioned earlier though, he charges for travelling at £50/hour so might bump the cost up somewhat to visit you up north.

And another marina that never was... Hawkesbury marina. http://apps.nuneatonandbedworth.gov.uk/BT_NBBC_Planning/planning/documents/2012-03-23 P031405-42 Design and Access Statement.pdf I actually never knew there was golf course there and i have been past it a lot, ok its not a golf course anymore, more of a dog walking field. Seems a decent place for a marina.

ahhh so maybe a private marina to put the boats they hire out to crt? Some more pennies drop in my head... The boat from this thread is owned by Rothen, which was moored a little further up towards atherstone, also it was moored at atherstone top lock some years ago, and rothen also use to own/run the yard there!

Thats the one, wonder why it never got opened then! Same as the one on the ashby at burton hastings, although there is usually a digger driving around that one.

Often wonder about this place when i pass, would think someone at some time was hoping to open a marina, but then the shape is not very fitting, so maybe it was a fishing pond... Hmm yes it doesnt appear to be the moorings, just everything else, not sure what this means though. Offered on a new lease on terms to be agreed

There is a stove shop up at Hoar park, about 20 minute drive from Monkeys mooring if you are there. http://www.hoar-park.co.uk/ http://www.thewoodburnercompany.co.uk/ Or central stoves down in Nuneaton. http://www.centralstoves.co.uk/ Not sure if i have ever seen one in Atherstone, but Tamworth would be wroth a google.
