  2. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 10 posts to view.
  3. Dear oh dear.. Only "done" 9 of those.. Time to fill up with diesel....
  4. When you changed the oil, did you change the oil filter . If not thats the problem its an oil pressure warning light. (I think)
  5. I think we tend to read far too much into these types of situations.. Its exactly as Stagedamager states: don't want to pay, don't have a boat, Pay your dues or other will remove it.. Quite simple to understand with no room for error or misunderstanding.
  6. I had a new Water Travel boat built in the late 70's.. Not only was there a weed hatch,, it was large enough for me to remove and replace the propellor. For sure, they were a well founded boat of considerable strength. Unlike todays vessels.
  7. There on/in the River Ribble, seen during the Ribble Link Crossing.
  8. Fair point. Arthur. Far too many folk incapable of minding their own business.
  9. Jellys wobble, Boats, rock, list or roll..
  10. Its Deans lock, nothing listed for works there.
  11. Well said. .have a star.
  12. Stay in there Gary, the children are tired and in need of sleep...
  13. Well said Ange. Have a greenie, or whatever they are called.. With the modern spell checkers, its just as simple to get text correct, as incorrect if your botherd that is !!.
  14. I use AutoCad, any of their derivatives are good. But looking at Google SketchUp, I suggest thats the way to go.. Dunno about the learning curve though.. Perhaps Alan will inform..
  15. [quote name="pete harrison" post="1141025" I lived in a commercial narrow boat back cabin for several years, and consequently lived with a cabin stove as my only means of heating and cooking. It is not about the "knowledgeable" types awarding points it is about what is practicle and safe - and the legs do not really matter either way. Thank you Peter, exactly my point..
  16. Yes thats correct.. Obviously, I cannot comment on CaRTs intention should JH stoppage goes ahead.. I must clarify, this information is from the rumour mill. It has not been confirmed by CaRT. Edited to add. Having done the HNR and the Standedge tunnel early this summer, I would suggest the Rochdale option.
  17. Just to be clear.. Your shower tray was carpeted ?
  18. If your a CCr and move quite often, your engine alternator should keep your bank charged. If on the other hand, your stationary for long periods if time you will have to run either the engine, or the generator. Without more info on your boats electrical system, your battery bank capacity, your electrical power drain per day, its almost impossible question to answer by me. Others will be along to offer more qualified advice..
  19. Word in playpen around these parts is that the bottom lock at JH will need a new sill, or serious work done to maintain the old one.. Another stoppage in the very near future.
  20. Would it worry you if the "knowledgeable" types only gave you 8/10 because your stove had legs/no legs?.. Of course not. Its your boat there is no right or wrong way... Plus,, the knowledgeable ones know nothing more than you or I. Enjoy YOUR boat..
