  1. whilst i don't have a tug deck or two stoves, these words could have been written by me I too am looking forward to waking up to sun coming through windows,
  2. Forgive me for perhaps being naïve. why would you not go for an automatic? why would you want to stand there moving washing from washer to spinner etc when auto can do it for you. I know there are a lot of boaters that do use these twin tubs and as I have never had one, i may be missing something. Is it space, water use, heating water ? I genuinely am asking this as I have an auto, where I just stick washing in and then take it out once washed and spun.

  14. Sorry to hear about the loss of your JRT. Always sad to hear someone losing their pet, as they give so much during their short lives. Nice to have lovely memories to fall back on.
  15. we have a German Shepherd, a Jack Russel, 2 Border Terriers and a patterdale terrier. They love it on the boat.
  16. I know, I wasn't asking everyone, it was directed at kevinl who is saying that it hasn't cost crt a penny. If that is so and it hasn't cost them a penny and therefore not owed it (I know also this isn't the case) the money has still been paid.
  17. But the money has already been paid by the boaters so where is it?
  18. Junior, just be assured that everyone has to start somewhere and its these things that we are learning now that will be the advice that we give to those coming onto the forum in years to come. There is no such thing as a daft question if its one you need to ask. Stop beating yourself up over what you call novice things, everyone has to start somewhere, we are only just learning )
  19. Junior, go and loosen your ropes then )) its a boat, it will float, the water is kind, and its all in the mind )
  20. Congratulations. Hope you have many years of happy boating.
  21. We ALL lose if huge chunks of countryside are lost, as well as the people in the future. We have a train network, which from what I read and hear, cant run efficiently as it is. How can adding another make things better for the main users of the network. Improve what we have and add where necessary but we don't really need a whacking great new line that is just going to shoot people from one end of the country to the other.
  22. I know this may sound silly but have you got your ropes tied up too tight? For three weeks I kept saying to my hubby that we had a list and eventually we sussed it back to the rope which once we released, actually the boat floated level.
  23. There is no hot water in the system at the moment. We had the immersion on yesterday evening for showers last night. The immersion is not on. The engine is not on and neither is the heating(webasto) . But there is water dribbling out of the hole. Just having a look at the paperwork now and will fire off some questions to the builder.
  24. Maybe your drain holes are blocked? No water in bilge now because they have rerouted the pipe to drip outside instead of into bilge. (They have got to come and paint the bilge area out again though now)!! We do have an accumulation of water on the deck however when it rains but this is due to the fact that cut outs were not put in the handrails so ALL the water off the roof drains back toward the deck. Builder has said will put in cut outs (all the boats around us have these ) but we have to take boat up to his yard but that will have to wait, there is no way I am going down the Trent at the moment with flooding. Got another bigger problem with mould at the moment which is also being sorted out by builder but they are coming here to sort that. I have the paperwork relating to the pump(which had to be replaced back in Dec) and the calorifier so I will take a look and see if I can marry them up against the info given above. Thanks to everyone for your advice, will come back and let you know. hi, yes using an immersion for the hot water off a landline whilst in marina. Will this make a difference? Will this contribute toward dripping?
