  1. It's all very well fitting vibration dampers but at the end of the day, for longer engine life, the best thing to do is have the engine statically and dynamically balanced.
  2. I was looking at some charts the other day and discovered that you can get from Rotterdam to the Black Sea in one go. That would be a trip and a half. Coastal hopping around the Med and then back up to the channel though France. Lifetime fun!
  3. I'm thinking of starting up a pump out service by boat. I might carry fresh water as well.
  4. Its a bit like the army becoming self sufficient, apart from a bit of rape and pillage, it ain't going to happen. BW needs to sell a lot of something every year to pay for the administration of its self. Well they have water but not enough of it and probably in the wrong places, land but its under water and facilities but no staff to work them. I think that the user group should tell BW to get real and stop trying to become a business, of which it cannot possibly understand.
  5. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 10 posts to view.
  6. I don't know about cost but you need to find someone who can get the doors to close properly when fitted!
  7. What happened to the banter request?
  8. Problem with staged payments is if you don't get paid on time. If you have three more boats to build, you can hardly wait two or three months until you are paid.
  9. Your a clown Jones! Your finger will take 8 psi, the seal will blow at one or two. Do as I asked, all of the checks. You know, it might save you money!
  10. Put an updated one on and have less problems. Remove the old gubbins. When describing the engine turning, its from the rear. IE, clockwise from the rear.
  11. If when hot, some cold liquids were spilt on the collar, that would cause the situation. A cold pot might as well, or as I wrote before, a very small crack when fitted. Did you check all of the breathers on the engine as I requested to see if it stopped leaking? Crankcase pressure is a critical element in this sort of problem.
  12. For insurance purposes, the term 'utmost good faith' is critical. It means that if they care to pursue you they can. I would be very careful about swapping and not telling the insurance companies on both sides. It is less of a problem for me, as I have a boatmasters but if you go sailing without qualification, that would invalidate all insurance and leave you with all third party costs. If you are on the other hand not sailing/ditch crawling and just using said vessels as hotels, I see no reason to be worried.
  13. Differential expansion. However the chances are that it was already cracked and has now opened up. How is the engine?
  14. Many a true word used in jest. Keeping Up will have a few choice words about this.
  15. They must be drying rails which can take coat hangers. The diameter is too small for storing poles. Xmas decos?
  16. Increase the area of the rudder forward and then run it just in case its worse. Don't weld something that might have to be dismantled.
  17. Sorry, nice hobbit........purr
  18. True but also spontaneously combusted as well!
  19. Proper job will be interested.
  20. I just had a strange thought about Baldock breeding
  21. Welcome to the fray!! The engine on the boat figures in this equation so you have to find out if it can be adapted to heat the water. 25 feet is very small, there are boats three times that length and they still don't have enough room!
