He is not spoiling for a fight,quite the contrary but he is paranoid about threatening letters.It is my belief that he will be moving every 14 days or less within a 4 mile area.He has no vehicle and even the walk to the bus stop from his mooring is around 1/2 mile.Then 2 buses or the bus then the train,it costs a lot.

I think legal advice for boaters would be great idea on this forum.

His answer to me is that he will pay for the moorings,14 miles away approx.,and will make a stand if necessary.At this point I would like to ask, on his behalf,if any of the legal eagles on this forum(I know there are some)would take up the fight if called upon.

Unfortunately he needs more information not interpretations.He as been looking at the posts about this and is becoming evermore paranoid,not helped by the fact that another boater friend has received several threatening letters from CRT. He as paid out a considerable sum this year on a new boat and mooring fees and needs to keep working for the foreseeable future.Edited to say I was slow in responding.

Another question related to this and being asked by a boater friend.If said boater has a legal mooring,lets say 14 miles,from the area in which he will be working,socialising and living and would only be returning to his mooring occasionally would CRT look upon this as non compliant and therefore harassed by the powers that be or would said boater be able to just move a couple of miles or less every 14 days.Just to add that there are no moorings to be had in the area he prefers at this moment.
