Feel lost without my boy ( he really was the best thing in my whole life, from the moment he was born I loved him like nothing else on earth) he was a wonderful dad to his little girl and the most loving son any mum could wish for xx My brother's little girl died of meningitis aged 18 months and you can never know the pain until it happens to yourself. My younger brother died age 44 and now know why my mum reacted the way she did when he died. It is horrible and not fair :-( xx

It all added up after I saw this thread, I have just lost my only child to cancer so had more on my mind. Star by any chance have you had a sore throat since burning the coal, ? Only asking as I have had a sore throat and wondered should I go to the docs or stop burning the coal :-)

Best wishes to you in whatever direction life takes you, we have also been through the mill and back, and after 4 years getting our life back on track only to be hit with my son's cancer, life is mean,kind,cruel,great up and down. Life is not fair and always asking 'why me' but it is sent to try us, so chin up and look forward.

Whilst in the park, a chap with a large Labrador let his dog crap in front of me while he carried on chatting on his mobile, i offered him a bag but he just looked at me and carried on walking. So I picked it up and walked to the car park where I was going anyway, asked a young couple if they were with the chap and the Labrador and they said no and pointed to his car. I put the said bagged dollop on the drivers side, and said to the couple, when he comes back, if he says anything to tell him I left it there as he dropped it in the park. Hopefully it embarrassed him enough to not do it again.

Soda crystals and pour into the plug hole.then add a little boiling water at a time to dissolve. Bleach? Oooo that might clean all the dog poo that gets flicked in?? :-)

We have a small metal bin with a lid on the bank, in which we put our bagged dog poo in and dispose of it once a week. I would rather people flicked it in the hedge than in the canal/river, but then I have seen a boater pumping their pump out into the water, now that really is disgusting and bone idle.

I think it's horrible myself, but each to their own.

My friend has a boat called Sweet Dreams but has the 's' and an 'e' very small so it looks like wet dreams at first glance

Ah congratulations, we were exactly the same when we bought our boat, we love living on ours. We had a change round, took out the fixed seating and bought 2 swivel chairs, now have a settee. Enjoy yourselves
