  1. What concerns me is the picture on that article... going through the bridge whilst on the roof and not even looking the right way!

  4. Thanks for that Tam Learn something new every day!
  5. What is a hog? I only know it as something that goes in a bun with stuffing and apple sauce! Is it a bend in the boat?
  6. How has the boat got hung up like that? is it just far too wide for the lock?
  7. I use CB in the land rover when out with friends. Most of the time there isn't a lot going on unless you're near a motorway and you pick up all the truckies.
  8. I've not looked as I havent sent any PMs on here, but on another forum I use with the same IPB software, there is a button on the left when you're in the message.
  9. Well you learn something new every day . thanks
  10. Maybe we were mislead in physics lessons, I was under the impression that all white light is made up of the colours?!
  11. Its still a white light they give out which is obviously made up of all the colours so the filters will still do their job .
  12. There are several 200Tdi's minus the turbo that have been put into old Series vehicles and suit the car, so don't go shooting them down without the turbo. Personally though, I'd say that the 2.25 or the 2.5 would be the most suitable.
  13. I don't find it a pain because battery life is so good .
  14. Petzl Tikka 2 is a great torch for the money . Got dad one for his birthday (but I borrowed it and lost it ) Personally I have the Tikka but thats a bit out dated now! two sets of batteries in 4 years?
  15. I did the Cheshire ring (anticlockwise) last summer with some friends. We hired from Middlewich. We had long days cruising so we actually ended up with a spare day in Manchester! We saw mow cop on out travels , also shared locks down through Manchester (cant remember the name of the canal at that point... Rochdale?).
  16. IBCs are 1000L. So thats a tonne, + about 80kg for the cage.
  17. New BW water saving methods. By piling junk left around the canal onto boat rooftops, they float lower in the water and therefore less water is needed to fill the pound.

  19. Had the same trouble last summer. most of the gates took a 3 of us at least
  20. We put a wet room in Mom and Dad's bathroom... Wet and room are words used in the name of said showering facility for a reason. Whole room gets covered, and takes an age to scrape/wipe out. A real PITFA! If it was my house, I wouldn't bother. Just have a large shower cubicle.

  22. Just go slowly with the drill, and use plenty of coolant type stuff, or even a drop of oil. Tapping size for M5 is 4.2mm, and for M6 its 5mm Hope this helps
